Kakamega Kids Recite Poem to Remind Uhuru Kenyatta to Honour School Bus Promise

Pupils of little Lilies Academy of Lubao from Kakamega county have appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to honour the pledge he had issued two years ago to gift them a school bus.

The pupils, through a poem, reminded the president about the forfeited promise saying it was long overdue.

They said that it was their dream to have the school bus, which could help facilitate curriculum and co-curriculum activities since they were struggling in that area.

According to the school director Geit Amahwa, other schools that were promised bus together had already been given their bus except them. RThe said school had emerged as the overall best ECD school countrywide during the national music festivals.

This gave them a chance to clinch the opportunity to entertain the president at Nakuru state lodge. During that period is when the president made that promise.
